I've always been curious about the origins of Jerry's interest in reggae rhythyms in general and Jimmy Cliff in particular. I keep an eye out for any info in this respect but so far nada. Probably turn out that it came from watching The Harder They Come.

The following video is from Jimmy Cliff's World Music Portrait DVD, entitled Bob You Did Your Job. While I'd love to think he had Bob Hunter in mind, its more likely to be Dylan.

hey now jerrob i think jimmi cliff was speaking of bob marley!! but who knows, ithink iread somewhere that lowwel george of lil feat turned jerry on to reggae rhythms!!! but i;m not sure!!!! peace brother wwd! :)
